Our hometown Kelheim

 

Kelheim is a town in Bavaria. It´s about 100 km  north of Munich.

In Kelheim live about 16000 people.

There are two rivers, their names are Altmühl and Donau (Danube). Around   the town there are hills. At the top of one hill there´s a famous building. It´s called "Befreiungshalle".

In the area of Kelheim you can visit two castles and the Schulerloch.

In Riedenburg ( about 24 kms from Kelheim) there is a crystal museum. There is a Danube gorge near Weltenburg.

The romantique boat trip through the strait of the river Danube (Weltenburger Enge), with a width of about 62 m and a water depht of roughly 24 m is unforgettable.

In Kelheim there is an indoor swimming pool (Keldorado), a historic museum, a youth club and a new big mall.
